Abstract
For mental health practitioners already working with college-bound patients and families, part of necessary transition work includes helping patients and parents early in the college selection process become familiar with mental health and supportive services at each college being considered. Even within the same geographic region and within similar college types, there is incredible variability in services offered. The proactive provider will actively support patients and families in identifying the college with services that best match the needs of the young person transitioning to college.
