Abstract
This chapter identifies and discusses the salient features of the interaction between individuals from the point of view of turning the individuals into a society. In particular, we consider the effect of the interaction as persuasion, and a measure of the resulting transformation is the alignment of the identities, so that an individual's identity becomes a social product. The interaction is increasingly mediated by technology, which brings with it the possibiolity of third-party interferenc and modification of the adaptive action.
