Abstract
This Chapter includes remote images taken of Messier 1 through to Messier 36 and includes the Crab Nebula as the first object Messier thought might be confused with a comet. It includes the spectacular Messier 13 globular cluster in Hercules - amazing on an image and an unbelievable visual object through a good telescope on a clear night. Even very simple color images of M16, M17 and M20 really bring out the magic of these objects. Messier 27, the Dumbbell Nebula is a popular target as is Messier 33, the PinwheelGalaxy in Triangulum.
