Abstract
This chapter discusses the clinical presentation and incidence of complications from inherited thrombophilias during pregnancy. The changes in prothrombotic factor levels that occur in normal pregnancy are described as well as the effects of inherited thrombophilias on pregnancy. General principles of management are discussed, including testing and diagnosis, anesthetic options for labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
