Abstract
Wild Abandon is a personal essay that follows the author’s nostalgic journey into a past life leading outdoor trips for women. In the course of reminiscing and taking stock of the life she has chosen raising children and managing a household, the narrator begins to let go of the dream of returning to a career that no longer fits her lifestyle, and begins to give shape to a future adventure of her own.
