Abstract
Pyeloplasty has been considered to be the gold standard for management of pelviureteric junction obstruction. It can be performed in a number of ways. The well described approaches to pyeloplasty include, laparoscopy, robotic and the gold standard open approach. The obvious advantages of robotic approach include better vision dexterity and ability to suture with three dimensional vision. The advantages of robotic pyeloplasty are more obvious in paediatric age group. The suturing in pediatric patients presents with a unique set of challenges. In this chapter, we emphasise the difficulties associated with robotic pyeloplasty.
