Abstract
Urodynamics is frequently confused with what we know as urodynamic instrumented investigations. Urodynamic instrumented investigations are a group of physiological tests utilized to investigate lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). These investigations are used to analyze lower urinary tract function and dysfunction in order to identify the most appropriate plan for the management of specific clinical conditions. Standards of urodynamic practice and for urodynamic equipment have been published already by the ICS and ICCS [1–3]. It is understood by the majority of professionals dedicated to this area of expertise that the tests must be performed to the highest professional and scientific standard. This chapter intends addressing the role and significance of urinary flowmetry, in children and adolescents, both from the diagnostic and from the indication of further invasive investigation stand-point.
