Abstract

For the treatment of fractured mandibles the structure, biomechanics, mechanical forces involves and healing mechanism needs to be taken into consideration and these are described in this chapter. It also highlights a real case study of a male patient describing the diagnosis, treatment plan, surgery, the post operative plan and a review of the case to elucidate the lessons that can be applied to future approaches to the treatment of fractures.
