Abstract

Psoriasis is a chronic papulosquamous inflammatory skin disease with characteristic dry erythematous plaques and adherent silvery scales; lesions are initially well circumscribed but may extend laterally and coalesce leading to move extensive involvement. There are many clinical forms of psoriasis, chronic plaque psoriasis is the most common overall but patients with pustular psoriasis or erythrodermic psoriasis are more likely to necessitate inpatient treatment as a direct consequence of their disease.
