Abstract

The spatial strength of tall buildings (constructed of steel and reinforced concrete) is investigated and presented in the form of interaction surfaces. The materials are assumed to be rigid-perfectly plastic. The horizontal loads are increased monotonically up to collapse of the structure, whereas the vertical loads acting in the columns are maintained constant.
