Abstract

Port Miou and Le Bestouan springs are located in the Basse Provence, a limestone area that extends from the Pre-Alps to the sea. Lithology, structure and hydrogeology are complex. Climate is of Mediterranean type with an important dry season in summer. As the population density is important, the exploitation of the local groundwater is an important issue.
