Abstract
The study carried out measurement survey of HoaCam wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in DaNang City, Vietnam. Based on ASM1 model, simulation of this wastewater treatment plant is implemented to determine relative parameters of the model in Vietnamese conditions closest to the measurement results. After that, optimization of the design and operation of the WWTP to have more efficiency. The simulation results show that it is quite accurate with the actual operation conditions of HoaCam WWTP. The optimization results show that the construction size is greatly reduced compared to the actual design of the HoaCam WWTP. This shows that the HoaCam plant has a waste of investment and energy consumption without meeting discharge standards.
