Abstract
Reconfigurability is a requirement of current and future generation wireless communication, which can be achieved through the implementation of reconfigurable components within the antenna structure. Thus, design and analysis of various components have gained a lot of attention of researchers. Baseline modeling of the antenna is a key factor while making its radiation properties reconfigurable, which can be either Frequency, Pattern, Polarization or Hybrid reconfigurability. In this review, survey of different techniques, the necessity of reconfigurability, methods to achieve it, procedure and application areas are discussed in detail.
