Abstract
In this chapter, system integration of the fabricated integrated circuits for remote powering and wireless data communication blocks of the implantable neural monitoring system is presented. The importance of biomedical packaging is discussed, and an easy-to-apply solution for the proposed system is introduced. The functionality of the remote powering system and the narrowband transmitter is verified in vivo with implantation into the rat. A receiver circuit for wireless data communication is designed with discrete components. Finally, the proposed system is validated with off-the-shelve components and in vivo measurements of neural recordings.
