Abstract
The years between 1919 and 1923 were the period that the legacies of imperial past were resolved through use of force and diplomacy . The strategic end of this period was to transform a dying empire into a young republic, by employing all limited available means. In that sense, it can be suggested that Turkish foreign policy strategy is based on a kind of revisionism which is based on realistic assessments of the surrounding conditions created by the structure.
