Abstract
Clavicle fractures are common injuries. Open reduction and internal fixation of displaced midshaft fractures has been the subject of various studies with some showing improved function in patients treated operatively. Fixation of these fractures varies in terms of positioning, implant choice, approaches (open versus minimally invasive), and plate placement (anterior, superior, or both). This chapter describes tips and techniques for the above as specifically applied to fractures of the shaft of the clavicle.
