Abstract
This volume concludes with a review of the evidence and a commentary on the US’ current counterinsurgency strategies in light of the fact that America is presently mired in the longest running conflict in its history. Included are policy recommendations and some future implications informed directly by this volume’s analysis. One of the major policy recommendations proffered in this chapter is political concessions through negotiations. Negotiations have proven to be remarkably successful in curtailing violence elsewhere.
