Abstract

Several metallic trace elements (MTE) may be present in the surface waters of Oued Sebou given the variety of industrial activities that exist throughout this Oued. The objective of this study is to make a spatial-temporal evaluation of the contamination by Zinc, Chromium, Lead, Copper, Mercury, Cadmium and Nickel according to the grid of classification of surface waters (stopped No. 1275-02, 2002). This would highlight the problem of pollution of this Oued, which is considered as one of the most important water resources in Morocco. In this sense, we carried out three sampling campaigns at 14 sampling points in Oued Sebou, in April, August and December 2018. The results of the analyzes showed that the samples of the water collected are contaminated enough. Important changes in the area and the sampling season. In the same way, a physico-chemical characterization of the collected samples was carried out forth temperature, the dissolved oxygen, the potential of hydrogen and the conductivity.

The interpretation of the results obtained was made based on the Order No. 1275-02, 2002 and the correlation between the various parameters studied.
