Abstract
Authors Raúl Podetti Sr. (87) and Jr. (60) add up to a century devoted to the shipbuilding industry, in which they have pursued their career as naval architects and marine engineers. Here they contribute their view as active players in the sector, having managed private and state-owned shipyards, as well as professional and industrial business entities.
This paper is about shipbuilding policies in Argentina. It is divided in three chapters: Industry, Policies and Future.
The first one, Industry, describes its evolution and the main players providing a thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis of the sector’s performance.
