Abstract

Gabriela Radulescu is an outstanding American media expert who has founded and managed journals and with whom I was in contact during the publication life of the magazine, The Chemical Intelligencer. The archaic word intelligencer means reporter and the magazine was about the culture of chemistry. I initiated the magazine and edited it during its existence, 1995–2000. At that time, it was not too common that a magazine published in New York would be edited in Budapest. It ceased to exist due to mergers and acquisitions of publishing companies.
