Abstract

The general strategy for the measurement of the double differential cross section of inclusive b jet production using pp collisions with \(\sqrt{s} = 13 \,\mathrm{TeV}\) recorded with the CMS detector is presented here.

    The reason for this is purely technical. At CMS, the size of the samples is such that the reconstruction with finer calibration can only be run once every few months. In particular, at the time of writing of the present thesis, one year after the end of the data taking, no fine calibration of Run2016H was yet available.
