Abstract
Building information modelling is a digital representation of the physical and functional characteristics of a device that connects project information databases. It is defined as the use of information and communication technology to make building more efficient across a project life cycle to provide safer and more productive environment, eliminate environmental impact and promote efficient, operational management and use of the building across its life cycle. On the other hand, the project manager’s duties include a range of activities. The research discusses the issue of development of digital and managerial competencies of project managers by building information modelling (BIM) technology. The main objective of the research is to compare the impact level of development of digital and managerial competencies of project managers by BIM technology. The main objective of research was set to analyse and include the digital and managerial competencies through the use of BIM technology in Slovak and Czech Republic construction industry.
