Abstract
This chapter describes the success of the Open Access movement and points to the next frontier for those who work with digitized materials in libraries and archives, as the pursuit of Maximal Access. By focusing deliberately on wider global audiences of potential users, and how they might be engaged, Cohen imagines a new era where an ever expanding public might be active participants in curating and utilizing our digitized wealth.
