Abstract
For a long time, there was no alternative to Adobe’s Flash if you wanted to create animated, dynamic or interactive visualisations. However, things have now changed: with the unforeseen dynamic that JavaScript has experienced in recent years, and with the option of representing and animating pixel graphics directly in a browser with Canvas, or even vector graphics with SVG, very powerful alternative tools are now available. Wikipedia lists almost 40 JavaScript modules for visualisation.
