Abstract

Synovial lipoma is an extremely infrequent, benign lesion composed of mature adipose cells originating in the subsynovial tissue, more commonly in the knee joint and in tendon sheaths. It must be differentiated from Hoffa’s disease, which is not neoplastic. Treatment is complete resection.

Eduardo Santini-Araujo was deceased at the time of publication.
