Abstract

The main objective of this chapter is to provide a comprehensive review of nerve block and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). We review technique, methodology, and primary indications for both nerve block and RFA techniques. We also survey current literature evidence of the various indications and methodologies used by RFA technique that span head and facial pain, facetogenic pain, sacroiliac joint pain, radicular pain, discogenic pain, and palliative and oncologic pain.
