Abstract
The Conclusion offers suggestions as to where and why the efforts of New Zealand and Australia differed. It also notes the contemporary resonance of many themes raised in the book; fears about costly and undesirable immigrants, the perception of these regions of healthy and virile destinations and the longevity and iterations of the language used to describe suspect mental and moral health.
