Abstract
I have spent the past eleven years as one of the Chaplains to Rampton High Secure Mental Hospital and for the last three have been Lead Chaplain to both it and the wider Trust, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This means that as well as providing Spiritual Care to service users, patients and staff, I support the Chaplains, including those working at all four forensic hospitals, the Hospices, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Older People’s Services, Acute Hospital wards, and Neuro-Rehab, to name but a few. My approach is ‘hands on’ in that rather than just providing professional lead to Chaplains, I deliver and co-deliver Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care at most of these sites.
