Al-Si Alloys Casts by Die Casting

Part of the book series: SpringerBriefs in Applied Sciences and Technology ((BRIEFSAPPLSCIENCES))

Abstract

The monograph is focused on study of the influence of the selected technological parameters of die casting upon strength and use properties of Al–Si alloy casts produced in die casting. The monograph contains a theoretical part paying attention to the description of die casting technology. The practical part revolves around detection of relation between selected technological parameters of die casting in regard to strength and use properties represented by tensile strength and porosity of die casts. The result is characterized relation between the observed technological parameters of die casting and the examined properties of die casts on the basis of Al–Si. The assessment of the individual experiments included dependence between the technological parameters and the examined properties of the cast.
