Abstract

In the final chapter, Contemplating a Repronational Portrait, I take a step back and look at the overall picture the book has offered, to point out the most relevant details of each chapter as well as the questions each one has left unanswered. I close this chapter and the book, with a reflection on how, at the clinic, practitioners are carefully creating a future generation one sperm and egg at a time, giving hope to people in desperation, while outside the clinic, in parliament chambers, stock exchange venues, streets, and religious sanctuaries, humanity is trying its best to disassemble hope.
