Abstract
In this chapter the methodology and research design of this study are presented. The research context, namely the Austrian banking industry, is explained in-depth by describing employee structure, as well as historical and current developments in the worldwide and Austrian banking industries. Besides, organisational aspects, such as culture and values in banks are discussed. Subsequently, the research question is presented and the reasons for choosing a qualitative case study design are given. In addition, the data collection method, structure of interview guideline and the interview participants sample is presented. The chapter concludes with a presentation of the analysis method and tools used as well as a critical discussion of the trustworthiness and credibility of this research.
