Abstract
Now that it is understood that we are powered by an emotional, rationalising, not rational brain, and that human beings are self-regulating systems, motivational theory must shift from, ‘how can a person be incentivised’ to ‘how can a person’s energies be released and focused organisationally’. Once again, brain sex differences need to be considered for organisations to fully release the best of the individual’s potential.
