Abstract

Introduction to external and internal finned tubes and annuli is presented in this chapter. The performance characteristics and applications of external and internal finned tubes for both single-phase and two-phase flows are discussed briefly. The flow parameters and fin geometrical parameters which affect the performance of finned tubes are presented.
