Abstract
This chapter describes the importance of nursing leadership and how The Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, a nationwide initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, AARP, and the AARP Foundation, promotes nursing leadership. The Campaign’s nursing leadership initiatives include the Nurses on Boards Coalition, leadership development programs, and mentoring programs. Three emerging nursing leaders describe how they have benefited from the Campaign’s leadership programs.
