Governance of a Transboundary River

Abstract

Building on our analysis of the governance system, this chapter provides an assessment of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats related to current transboundary governance of the Rhône. On the basis of this diagnosis, we then develop a set of scenarios for possible adaptation of current institutional architectures, illustrating the diversity of possible solutions for conceptualizing transboundary river governance systems.
