Abstract
In this chapter, by drawing on Heidegger’s oeuvre, d’Agnese presents what we may refer to as the thorough educational nature of Heideggerian reflection. More specifically, d’Agnese contends that Heideggerian thought is not only anchored by questions and features that are quintessentially pedagogical but also represents a passionate call to freedom, transcending, becoming and the space of the “not-yet”, which education is. Heidegger, throughout his entire career, displays an extraordinary deep and dense reflection on selfhood and subjectivity, a reflection that is rooted in and calls forth a complete transformation of the subject, of her position and gesture towards herself and the world. Such a conception, d’Agnese argues, is in and of itself educational.
