Abstract

This article studies the universal category of telicity/atelicity of verbal action. The classification of French verbs in relation to the limit of action is given. The limit is considered as a critical point related to a qualitative change in the ongoing action. The categories of aspect and tense are a morphological means which influences on the telicity/atelicity of French verbs of movement.
