Abstract

In the last years, minimally invasive surgery (MIS) has gained popularity for the treatment of pediatric neuroblastic tumors. As this tumor could be fragmented, the fear of peritoneal or pleural spillage is of less importance and numerous studies have been reported, especially for adrenal and thoracic paravertebral locations. Robotic surgery, when compared to conventional MIS, can potentially enlarge the indication of MIS and improve completeness of resection. A few case series have been currently reported, but this approach would certainly be developed in the following years.
