Abstract
The greater and lesser occipital nerves are involved in different types of chronic headaches, and occipital nerve blocks play both a diagnostic and a therapeutic role.
With the implementation of ultrasound, these blocks have improved in accuracy and safety. Two different ultrasound-guided approaches for greater occipital nerve block have been described and are explained in detail in this chapter.
