Abstract

The solar energy has been a perennial source to all forms of nature driven processes like photosynthesis thereby driving at the first stage all bio-mechanical systems that in turn supports all other life-forms. The human society has explored various routes to utilize the energy emanating from the Sun by virtue of a huge quantity of stellar hydrogen gas subjected to thermo-nuclear reactions. The need of the hour is sustainability principles that develop a co-existence between economy and environment. The utilization of solar thermal energy to greater extent needs better insight into working principle of solar gadgets. The presented work investigates the solar parabolic dish concentrator for cooking as a means of making a sustainable system asĀ an alternative to existing cooking methods from the viewpoint of societal benefit.
