Abstract

Penile cancer is a rare tumor. The annual incidence is estimated to be 1 in 100,000 males, accounting for less than 1% of all cancers in men. Regarding histology it consists of squamous cells in 95% of cases. Treatment modalities include surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Early diagnosis is important since advanced disease is related not only with worse prognosis but also with impaired quality of life.
