Abstract
This chapter outlines the key aspects which have been presented and discussed in this book. In summary, we have further the current understanding of microneedle technology through developing simple photolithographical techniques for fabricating microneedles to improve the delivery of proteins and small molecule drugs through the skin. We have also discussed recent trends of microneedle technology in therapeutics and cosmetics. Future directions pertaining to current research reported in this book as well as the microneedle developments in the fields of medicine and cosmetics will also be discussed in this chapter.
