Abstract
Transbronchial cryobiopsy samples may provide sufficient information for recognizing even complex patterns. Histological structures of the pulmonary acinus and lobule may be identified in these samples, at least when they reach a size of more than 4–5 mm. These hallmarks should be utilized to interpret the lesions and to increase the level of diagnostic confidence.
