Bios

Oscar Samuel Gershanik graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 1972 and obtained his neurology training at the French Hospital in Buenos Aires, later on in New York (under Prof. Melvin Yahr) and at the UMDNJ, Robert Woods Johnson Medical School (under Prof. Roger Duvoisin). He is professor of neurology and scientific director at the Institute of Neuroscience, Favaloro University and director of the Laboratory of Experimental Parkinsonism (ININFA-CONICET) in Buenos Aires. He is past-president of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
