Abstract

This paper traces the experimental path for the virtualization and enrichment with augmented and mixed reality of some modern design objects of the Design Museum of Milan Triennale. The workflow deals with an ongoing experiment with some trainees of Politecnico di Milano and considers to explore strengths and weaknesses of low cost technologies for digital survey in the contemporary design domain, the uses of these technologies for the realization of virtual museums and settings, the relationship that can emerge between storytelling and the creation of virtual museums containing virtual models and the interactions that the latter can have with the user.
