Abstract

Currently industry modernization is carried out in cities, the digital economy is implemented resulting in smart plants, companies and organizations which represent almost completely computer-aided manufacturing. Then these companies are integrated into innovative cluster structures where required conditions for introducing the digital economy elements in urban space were created. The paper covers the concept content of a “smart” city, the digital economy, the industrial cluster. The examples of operating clusters are given. The problems and ways of forming a smart city are demonstrated.
