Abstract
Hip injuries are common among athletes, representing approximately 6% of all sports injuries [1]. Furthermore, hip injuries have received increased attention in recent years as a result of identification of sources of non-arthritic hip pain and damage, improved evaluation techniques, such as physical examination and imaging, as well as less morbid approaches to evaluation and management of hip problems, such as hip arthroscopy.
