Abstract

First, let’s put things into perspective. Prehistoric man is commonly related to the Pleistocene epoch of geological time, which is colloquially referred to as the “Ice Age.” Lasting from about 2.6 million to 11,700 years ago, it spanned the world’s most recent period of repeated glaciations.
