Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to determine the occupational attitudes of students studying in the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program at the undergraduate level at the university. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of positive and negative questions was applied to students studying in the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Near East Vocational School of Tourism and Hotel Management. The t-test analysis was performed at the end of the questionnaire. As a result of this analysis, it was determined that students consider specializing in an area of the culinary profession, the culinary profession will satisfy them financially and morally, they believe that they will be more connected to the profession as their experiences in the culinary profession increase and that they have voluntarily selected the culinary program they are currently studying in. Furthermore, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the gender profile and attitudes towards the culinary profession of the students who participated in the study.
