Abstract
This chapter summarises the main arguments of the book. Namely, the topics of discussion are categorised in the presence of eugenics during the post-war period, the population policies and demographical problems that were tackled by eugenicists and the local response to the then novel reproductive choices. The concluding remarks are not a mere summary of the book but function as a reassessment of the turbulent period spanning from the 1950s to the 1980s. The last chapter illuminates the connection among the expression of eugenics in the beginning of the century, during the post-war period and in present day. It tries to trace underlying common features in order to eventually justify the continuity of eugenics ideology throughout modern history.
